The War on Drugs has become the longest and most costly war in American history, the question has become, how much more can the country endure? Inspired by the death of four family members from "legal drugs" Texas filmmaker Kevin Booth sets out to discover why the Drug War has become such a big failure.
Ending the Drug War
Most Americans have never known a world without a “War on Drugs”. Generations have grown up being told to “Just Say No” while big corporations feed them a daily diet of pharmaceutical drugs, until the young have been branded Generation Rx. Meanwhile, states like California and Colorado have legalized formerly taboo drugs like marijuana. It is time to reassess our relationship to our oldest tools of medicine, spiritual experience, pleasure, escape, and poison.
