To
end the "in fighting" amongst various legalization groups.
One
important first step to ending the drug war is the legalization
of marijuana; there are many groups such as Normal, MPP, and the
American Alliance for medical marijuana. Many of these groups
don't agree with or recognize eachother. The pharmaceutical companies
spend millions of dollars lobbying in Washington D.C., these groups
are united, focused and HELL bent on never allowing marijuana
to be legalized. The pharmaceutical companies would lose millions
perhaps billions not to mention the downsizing of the DEA and
privatized prisons.
We
propose that all the various groups nominate some real politicians
that could do serious combat with the pharmaceutical lobbyist.
A Nationwide election could take place to decide the "head
person". If all the groups back this one person we might
have a chance on bringing about change.
It
is time for everyone to drop their personal differences and face
the true enemy, an enemy united by greed, an enemy not afraid
to spread propaganda, an enemy who does not care if innocent people
get put in jail. People who beleive in the legalization of drugs
tend to be individuals and that is why it's so hard for them to
agree with eachother. We can all have our little rallies and demonstrations
until our tie-dye fades and our Grateful Dead CD's wear out, but
nothing is going to change.
We
are not asking you to "Support Us". We are asking you
to lobby towards your group to bring about a single unified group
that can atleast agree on one single issue: the legalization of
marijuana.
